Primary Accountability:
The Sandwich Artist is responsible and accountable for performing specific tasks and duties as assigned within the restaurant. The Sandwich Artist provides each customer with outstanding customer service experience, prepares quality food products, keeps the restaurant clean, pleasant and safe for all customers and fellow team members.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions of the Sandwich Artist position are denoted below in the following key areas:
TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
- Consistently provides a quality product and customer service experience that delivers total customer satisfaction.
- Follows all Subway customer service guidelines and procedures; takes the appropriate action to ensure all customers receive service beyond their expectations.
- Works assigned station(s) accurately and productively; cleans and stocks the station area(s); performs other cleaning duties assigned.
- Ensures that all customers receive quality products; prepared, packaged and delivered according to Menu Standards.
- Handles all food products according to company procedures; follows all company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of customers and team members.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Strives to improve personal skills and performance level.
- Follows the steps outlined in the Sandwich Artists Training Program to learn new skills, duties and responsibilities and to improve personal performance level.
- Communicates to immediate supervisor when additional training, guidance and practice are needed.
- Understands how each job responsibility in the restaurant impacts the customers, other team members and overall operations.
- Keeps immediate supervisor informed of all related issues, which might affect the customers, other team members and overall restaurant operations.
- Is performance oriented and driven; understands performance expectations and aware of performance results.
EFFECTIVE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Consistently meets job expectations to positively impact the sales and profit of the restaurant.
- Contributes to the restaurant’s success by accomplishing the expected work during the shift; consistently produces quality work.
- Supports the goals, decisions and directives of the Restaurant Management; performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by Restaurant Management.
- Follows all company guidelines for food and cash controls, follows all cost control guidelines to maintain and minimize restaurant costs; properly uses all products, supplies, equipment and facilities.
APPROPRIATE AND FAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES
- Complies with all CGI policies and procedures regarding business and personnel practices.
- Follows and complies with all CGI, OhCal and DAI(Subway) polices, procedures and guidelines.
- Follows all CGI safety, security and emergency policies and procedures; maintains a safe and secure environment for team members and customers.
- Holds self accountable for the methods and procedures used to perform all tasks and responsibilities to achieve the desired results.

Physical Abilities:
Must be able to:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Bend and stoop.
- Work around heat
- Work around others in close quarters.
- Move throughout the restaurant to work specific stations or perform assigned tasks.
- Able to lift 20-50 lbs. comfortably.
- Work with various cleaning products.
Requirements:
EDUCATION
Enrollment in high school; high school diploma or equivalent is preferable. Excellent verbal and written commutation skills; is capable of communicating effectively with customers and co-workers; bi-lingual skills a plus.
EXPERIENCE
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age (with work permit).
TRANSPORATON
Must have reliable transportation to & from work.
ACCESSIBILTIY
Must have telephone or other reliable method of communicating with the restaurant.
HOURS
Must be able and willing to work flexible hours, possibly including opening & closing shifts, graveyards, nights & weekends.
